1. Check the complete hardware setup
A display having an HDMI socket or running Android does not confirm compatibility. Ask for the exact screen model and whether it is an LCD display or an LED screen. An extra player may let you keep a suitable existing screen.
For LED, ask for the size of the picture people will actually see. A narrow shopfront strip needs different artwork from a standard television.
2. Ask what happens without internet
Ask to see the screen keep playing when the internet is unavailable. With ScreenZeno, screens keep playing the last good content if the internet drops.
3. Try an ordinary content update
Upload one of your own images and a video. Put them in a playlist, choose a screen and publish. Can a staff member follow that process after a short introduction? Check what happens with an unsuitable file, and whether it tells you what to change.
4. Check scheduling around your business hours
Use a real example: a breakfast menu ending at 11am, a weekend promotion, or weekdays from 9 to 5. Check that the next item takes its place, and look again after the clocks change.
5. Find out what you can see
A screen showing as online does not, by itself, confirm that people in the room are seeing the right picture. Ask to see what is playing, right now. With ScreenZeno you can see that, get notified if a screen goes offline, and update a screen straight from your phone.
6. Give each person the right access
A local manager may only need one location, while a head office team looks after the full organisation. Demonstrate those roles with separate accounts. In ScreenZeno, roles are Owner, Admin, Editor and Viewer, and a person can be limited to a single location.
7. Understand the licence
Ask what counts as one screen, especially when a player has several outputs or drives an LED wall. Confirm replacement-player transfers, renewals, cancellation, offline licensing and what happens if a payment fails. Get the answer in writing before ordering.
8. Price the complete service
Separate software from hardware, installation, connectivity and ongoing design work. Confirm what onboarding includes, who supports the player and whether help is supplied by the software company, installer or reseller. A low licence price has less value if every small change needs paid assistance.
9. Agree a small, realistic rollout
Begin with one typical location and agree what a successful installation looks like. Note the screen, the test content and who will look after it. Use that to prepare the remaining sites and train staff.
For ScreenZeno, arrange a demonstration with our team or your authorised reseller. Send the screen models, locations and content requirements first so the discussion starts with your actual setup.
