SCREENZENO PARKING · PILOT ENQUIRIES
A useful answer when the count cannot be trusted.
Agree what the sign should show when information is out of date or the connection drops. The response is confirmed and tested for your site.
Pilot-stage product. Site suitability, counting-system connections and sign behaviour are confirmed per installation.
Information out of date
Agree how old a count can be before it is unsuitable for drivers. The appropriate point depends on how the site operates; we do not promise one setting for every car park.
Connection unavailable
Decide what drivers see while fresh information is unavailable. A message such as Availability unavailable may be appropriate, subject to the agreed sign layout and site rules.
Information returns
Include recovery in the pilot checks. Agree when a trusted count should reappear and what the team needs to check before normal availability is restored.
Do not turn uncertainty into FULL or CLOSED
FULL and CLOSED have specific meanings. Using either to hide an unknown count can send drivers away from a car park that is open. Choose wording that reflects what the operator actually knows.
Do not assume the last number stays valid
A sign showing an old number can appear current to a driver. Agree how stale information is handled instead of assuming that the last received availability remains useful.
Put the response into the site agreement
Record the driver message, when it takes over, who responds and the checks needed when information returns. Include planned closures and the effect on other car parks sharing the sign.
Test before rollout
Check an ageing count, loss of fresh information and its return. Also check normal availability, FULL and CLOSED. These are pilot acceptance checks, not a claim that identical behaviour is already proven at every installation.
